Missouri – Paycheck Deception
Paycheck Deception has passed the Missouri General Assembly. Paycheck Deception is a bill that would put an undue burden on public sector workers and is the first step by wealthy special interests to make Missouri a ‘right-to-work’ state.
Even a pro-RTW group admitted, in a tweet, that this bill was passed to pave the way for “right-to-work” in Missouri.

The bill will now go to the Governor’s desk where we expect a veto. However, the numbers in the first vote showed that the House and the Senate have veto proof majorities, allowing them to override the Governor and force this anti-worker legislation into law. This means we have some work to do! We must flip a couple votes, to prevent Paycheck Deception from becoming the law of the land in Missouri.
Missouri – ‘Right-To-Work’
Even after a big victory last year, defeating ‘right-to-work’ in last year’s veto session, we continue to see the appetite among Republican’s in the Missouri General Assembly to push through a ‘right-to-work’ bill this year. David C. Humphreys is spending hundreds of thousand of dollars to go after Republicans that voted to stop ‘right-to-work’ in Missouri. Humphreys continues to spend money as he attempts to buy elections and elected officials. Preserve Middle Class America recently launched ads to expose Humphreys’ attacks on worker friendly Republicans.

Missouri – Prevailing Wage
Republicans in Jefferson City continue to go after Prevailing Wage as well. It is up to you, to let your voice be heard. Voting matters, but please consider contacting your elected official and tell them that you support prevailing wage in Missouri. Find your Representative HERE. Prevailing wage is CRUCIAL to ensuring that workers get a fair wage for the jobs they preform.
Illinois – Budget Crisis
Governor Bruce Rauner continues to stall the Illinois budget. His attacks on workers continue as he leads an anti-worker crusade to install so-called ‘Right-To-Work’ Zones. Not to mention, Rauner’s budget cuts to public education, public employees, and public services continue.
